My concept is focused on Woman and the daily routines throughout the house. I have captured different scenes and gestures that portray what someone might be doing in their house on a daily bases. I’m interested in this idea because it is always relevant to anyone. There is always a need for cleaning, eating, and cooking, or anything based in a home setting. Others can relate or put themselves in these situations. I was inspired by Cindy Sherman’s film stills; they document the roles of woman, her photographs were focused more on woman and the role they play in society and mine were just focused on the home setting and keeping busy throughout the day. -Sabrina Ellis
I think that your concept and theme of women in society, and in particular in the home setting was well done. The roles of women will always change throughout history and culture, and it was interesting to view your take on the female character. I can see the influence of Cindy Sherman's film stills in your images, and can even see the strong female gaze from her images in yours. I enjoyed viewing your images, and think you did a good job.
