Color
I chose to place the typewriter next to three different colors. I placed it on the colors to show it as part of a whole. I chose colors that seemed to catch my eye. I wanted the colors to be bright and stand out on their own, even next to the typewriter.
Composition
For my compositions I focused first on where to place the typewriter. I really enjoyed the outdoor space and the coloring of the surroundings. I photographed all at slightly different angles. I wanted to incorporate different elements like the water and the trees, but still make the typewriter the focus.lighting
Instead of creating my own lighting situations I decided to use lighting that was already available. I found lighting I liked. Then I placed the typewriter in the lighting and positioned it till I found the right lighting that hit the typewriter in a good way. I even liked the shadows that were created by the situations of my subject. They make the pictures more interesting.
Texture
My textures are all rough looking and create an interesting environment for my object. I chose my textures based on the abrasive raised feeling they all had. The shoe marks, metal and gravel are all pulling up from the ground. They kind of represent how the keys on the typewriter are and how they are raised.
